Due to continued success, Topstaff has an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Officer to join our clients’ Purchasing Team based in their office in Clydebank. 
The client is a Ship Management Company and the Purchasing Officer is a significant position within the business. 
This role is complex and demanding in its own right.  A strong, confident manner is essential due to the interaction with key stakeholders and third parties. 
The Purchasing Team are responsible for all purchasing requirements encompassing a wide variety of items.  Not only are they responsible for the purchasing, but also the timely delivery of all items so liaising with the Operations Department is fundamental to the role.  This position calls for a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills – someone with the experience of working to time critical deadlines.
The minimum requirement is at least 1 years’ purchasing experience.  Candidates with a Marine Purchasing background would be highly desirable.
